TWELVE MONTHS' NEWSLETTERS

Contributions are made almost, but not every month to several magazines circulating around our geographically large Parish. They are either church or community based publications.

The Parish Council is extremely grateful to be able to work in this way as delivery of regular newsletters would be an expensive undertaking.

AUGUST, the time when young people like to camp on unofficial sites. Most are fine, but the few can cause great pain. AUGUST 2010, our voluntary Cotswold Warden passed 3 lads in a green tent below Stanley wood. On returning, they had gone and he cleared up a bag of beer & cider cans, "Famous Grouse" whiskey bottle, loads of plastic, tent pegs and earphones.

Wardens have to carry litter bags at this time of year on their monthly patrols of their bits of the Cotswold Way.

When so many young people are really idealistic about environmental issues and animal welfare, it seems so sad that others are completely thoughtless.

Parents of teenagers, please tell yours not to leave litter that not only spoils the countryside but could kill cattle.
